Beach Volleyball Exhibition Match conducted by World Class Players

To all beach volleyball enthusiasts!You are invited to a Beach Volleyball Exhibition Match conducted by World Class players!
There will be an exhibition match between world class players and you will have the opportunity to see the world's best beach volleyball players in action.
Venue : Sentosa Siloso Beach
Day / Date : Sat 20 May and Sun 21 May 06
Time : 3 - 7pm on both days
Registration fee : FREE
This event is organised by the NYAA Council, the Embassy of Switzerland and the Volleyball Association of Singapore as part of the "Icons in Red and White", a Swiss-Singaporean Celebration from 14 - 28 May 06, the biggest ever bilateral event which offers activites across many areas. A key event of "Icons in Red and White" is a world-class Beach Volleyball event to be held at Sentosa Siloso Beach. Two male and two female World Class Teams from Switzerland and Germany will be stopping over in Singapore for the event a week before the start of the annual World Tour to be held in Shanghai, People's Republic of China.
Who are the players ?
- The Swiss Male Team comprises Heyer Sascha and Laciga Paul, currently ranked number 7 in the world and Vice World Champions in 2005.
- The Swiss Female Team are Simone Kuhn and Lea Schwer, currently ranked number 10 in the world.
- The German Female Team are Susanne Lahme and Geeske Banck, currently ranked number 18 in the world.
- The Swiss Male Teams are, Jan Schnider and Marcel Gscheidle currently ranked number 32 in the world and David Wenger and Phil Gabathuler, currently ranked number 74 in the world.
- Two other players Laciga Paul and Susanne Lahme, who both competed in the Athens Olympics and are currently ranked number 5 and 9 in the world respectively
Do not miss this opportunity to interact with the world class Beach Volleyball players during their visit to Singapore.
